Daenerys' season 3 dress.

I've just started making another one of Daenerys' from Game of Thrones dresses: The one she wears in season 3.  There are multiple versions of this dress each one more elaborate than the other. I'm making the second version.
These are some sketches I've made of the pattern.
I'm using a heavy dark blue fabric. The outside is too shiny so I'm using the inside.

I'm basically using a simple dress pattern and modifying some things.
I've changed the sleeves and the neckline.
I pretty much just made the dress twice and cut out one side.
So here's what I've got so far. Maybe I'll turn one of the dresses inside out so the upper part can be used as lining. The pieces of fabric that go across the chest I'll just sew on.
I've also tried making the dragonscale pattern that will decorate the shoulders and front. The smocking technique is explained very well here.
I'll post some more as soon as I get further!

How to make daenerys' dragon claw necklace

I started out with some different shades of brown and black polymer clay. If you already have the right colour you can just use that.
If the clay has gone hard, try cutting small pieces and putting them in a bowl of lukewarm water for a few minutes.
When the clay is kneaded enough, roll it out into the shape of an egg.

 Cut it in half.
Shape each piece roughly into the shape of a claw...
... and then shape the details. (pay attention to the edge on the middle, the dent on the top and the line around the point)
Take a piece of chain long enough to go around your neck to a few centimetres below the collarbones.
Make a hole on the top and insert the end of the chain. (using a tooth pick can be helpful)
If you want to shade the pendants, take some different shades of brown, black and gold make-up. (some powder from  art pastels also works.)
Colour the clay to your taste using a small brush.
 Now bake the whole necklace.
 Varnish it.
 And it's done!

How to make an elven circlet from the lord of the rings.

You will need:
-some thick wire
-pliers
-a gluegun
-gemstones

take a piece of wire about 130 cm long.

twist in in the middle.

bend it around your head until just behind your ears, then loop it around.

loop it around the middle of the wire again.

using the pliers, twist a small loop to fold around the top of the twist in the middle.

take a second piece of wire and thread it through the front.

loop it around a few times on the sides.

and secure it with another twist.

using a gluegun, glue a gem to the middle.

And it's done! Now get creative and make some more!

Making Daenerys' wedding dress from game of thrones.

How to make Daenerys' wedding dress from game of thrones

I used two different types of fabric: a shiny green-grey fabric and a white-creamy see-through material.
cut two large rectangles: width = from the bottom of your bra - your feet + appr. 6 cm, length = enough to go around you about 1.5 times.

Take a simple bra your size. pin the two rectangles to the bra at the middle of the length.
Pin the two layers. Pin the front straight and start making folds when you get to the sides.

Cut the straps loose at the back. Cut one of the small rings at the bottom loose.
Fasten the straps at the neck to keep it up.

Sew the fabric to the bra. Use a zigzagging stitch on the front.

Use a straight stitch on the sides and back. Stitch two lines.
Sew two pieces of ribbon on the inside of the sides to prevent it from stretching too much.
Now make two silver-coloured tubes wide enough to pull the bra straps through.
Adjust the straps to the right size and sew them up.
Pull the straps through the tubes with a bobby pin.
Sew the tubes to the bra on the ends.

Now cut two strips from each material. they should be about 60 x 15-25 cm.
Gather the strips and pin them to the sides of the bra, then to the top and bottom.

Sew the sides and top by hand on the inside, making sure the stitches aren't visible on the outside.
Also sew the bottom by hand, on the front.
Hem the edges of the strips of material. (both strips together.)
Now cut two silver rectangles for the bracelets.
A = the circumference of your upper arm + about 7 cm. B = twice the width you want them to be (about 4 cm) + about 1 cm.
Sew the sides together and turn them inside out.
 Also sew the ends together.
Cut two strips of the sheer fabric about about 15 cm wide and 75 to 120 cm. (depending on how long you want them to be)
Gather one side of the fabric and sew it to the bracelet. Attach velcro to the ends of the bracelet. Now sew two thin pieces of ribbon or string to the bracelet.

Hem the bottom of the dress. (hem the two fabrics separately) and sew the back up.

Cut the pieces of material on the front to the right size so they are long enough to cross over eachother at the front and fasten at the back. Gather the ends and sew velcro to them. Sew two black pieces of ribbon or string to the straps the same way as with the armbands.

And it's done! The only thing you still need is the dragon pin. originally I made one out of polymer clay, but after finding out how cheap they are I ordered a metal one on ebay and it hasn't arrived yet. I'll post the final result as soon as I have it!
